This week in cyber smart we have been using other resources instead of Google slides.
We have been using sumo paint and other resources. In sumo paint you can draw, write, make a poster and lots of other things. P.o.t made a space themed sumo paint since we were learning about space. We did a competition and I got a prize.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

fair is fair
this week inside of reading we have been learning about equity vs equality. that means if somebody needs more food than others and they all get the same the others would have to much but the the other person would not get enough.

how to make a good email to a teacher
1. use a solution such as... Mr. Pablo
2. include a specified subject line such as... reading
3. keep it to the point... state exactly what you need help with.
be polite and summarize your request the best you can.
4. be professional and don´t use slang such as... i just cant get it 2gether 2 get all my stuf dun this week.
5. sign and proofread... finish your message by signing your full name. and always reread your writing before hitting send.
so remember these tips when you need to communicate with your teacher online.

moment in time moon landing
I go to the changing rooms and I struggle into my space suit. As i go to the in the tunnel to get to the rocket I look at my family standing by.
As we go in the air I feel the force pushing me down
I smell the rocket fuel as we blast into the blue sky in the rocket. I'm starting to shake like a loose screw. I feel like I'm in an indoor roller coaster. My face screws up with anxiousness.
So I unwrap some of my mums best cooking I scream ”Yay ” it's my favorite macaroni and cheese as I grab the fork it flies in the air and my buddy Buzz ate it as it flew over to him.
Three days later… “Boing” I wake up in fright I fall out of my sleeping bag. Luckily there is low gravity in space so I fall to the ground like a feather. I decide to look out my window and I see some sort of grey cheese thing.
I tell Buzz we go to the chamber and we put our helmets on i press the button on the wall the door closed behind us. Buz presses his button and the door in front of us opens. Oh my lord we say its the Moon!!! I walk over a bit and I shove the flag in the ground. Then
I jump “Woah”
I leaped like a leopard. Then I go to the moon crawler and I turn it on and I zoom around the planet. I go and take a sample of the moon. Then i go inside the rocket to go back we turn on the booster and poof we fall off the moon. It felt like I jumped off a cliff. We are going back down. Three days later… we feel a splash a voice comes over the radio. “DO NOT GET OUT OF THE ROCKET. We’re sending a ship to get you”
I felt happy I made it back, unlike the other missions.
Few. I am so relieved to be back home.

phonics flip book
In phonics I made a flip book about parts of speech. I had to say what a noun, verb, adjective, pronoun, and adverb was. i learnt that a pronoun is words such as he, she, they, that. and a adverb give more information on a verb or adjective.
