Taste and smell

Welcome to my blog this week we have learned about the tongue and where certain taste buds are like where you can taste sweet, bitter, sour, salty. Those are the tastebuds we have here is a picture to show our tastebuds.

pocket rockets

 during science, we have made pocket rockets

they are basically mini rockets that you could make at home. It is really cheap and easy to make. Here how it works

you get a small cylinder with a bottom you take off the top put baking soda in the bottom and then pour vinegar and quickly put the cap on and flip it then it should go flying.

daylight savings

Daylight savings it's a strange thing what is it? Well you might think it's so we can stay up longer but no it's so we don't waste as much energy with lights being on and you don't have to work in the dark.

If you are struggling to sleep then go to sleep earlier. Daylight savings is also good because the sun stays up longer so you don't have to rush your washing. 

But remember to change your clock an hour slower. Daylight savings starts on sunday 27 september and ends sunday 4 april next year. In australia daylight savings is in all states but queensland northern territory and wester australia. Daylight savings started in NZ in 1927. Here is some tips on how to adjust to daylight savings

• Go to bed earlier

• Put your clock back an hour

• Get some exercise if your not tired

I think that daylight savings should continue because it helps you stay fit and you can do your washing more often.

 have you ever wondered why all together is spelt separate but separate is spelled together, take a moment to ponder why they are spelt like that its, weird and unusual isn't. people also say your not perfect but your perfect at not being perfect, okay now i'm just confusing my self.  have you notice that zoo's are paying you to look at stolen property because nobody owns those animals. did you notice that the centre of gravity is v and v is pointing down. your a murderer did you know that you've murder trillions of bacteria in the shower. go lay in an open field and that technically make the world your backpack.

Gravity is the force by which a planet or other body draws objects toward its center. The force of gravity keeps all of the planets in orbit around the sun.

Why do you land on the ground when you jump up instead of floating off into space? Why do things fall down when you throw them or drop them? The an\wer is gravity: an invisible force that pulls objects toward each other. Earth's gravity is what keeps you on the ground and what makes things fall.

Anything that has mass also has gravity. Objects with more mass have more gravity. Gravity also gets weaker with distance. So, the closer objects are to each other, the stronger their gravitational pull is.

Earth's gravity comes from all its mass. All its mass makes a combined gravitational pull on all the mass in your body. That's what gives you weight. And if you were on a planet with less mass than Earth, you would weigh less than you do here.

Gravity in our universe

Gravity is what holds the planets in orbit around the sun and what keeps the moon in orbit around Earth. The gravitational pull of the moon pulls the seas towards it, causing the ocean tides. Gravity creates stars and planets by pulling together the material from which they are made.

Black holes pack so much mass into such a small volume that their gravity is strong enough to keep anything, even light, from escaping.

Gravity on Earth

Gravity is very important to us. We could not live on Earth without it. The sun's gravity keeps Earth in orbit around it, keeping us at a comfortable distance to enjoy the sun's light and warmth. It holds down our atmosphere and the air we need to breathe. Gravity is what holds our world together.

However, gravity isn’t the same everywhere on Earth. Gravity is slightly stronger over places with more mass underground than over places with less mass. NASA uses two spacecraft to measure these variations in Earth’s gravity. These spacecraft are part of the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) mission.
