Today I had to do decimal practice I found it challenging because I Struggled on the subtraction. I enjoyed the addition of big numbers. Here is my working.
I am a student at in Uru MÄnuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.
Ka pai Lucas! I am so impressed with your great effort adding and subtracting decimals.
ReplyDeleteYou got questions 1 and 2 correct. You would have got question 4 correct, but you forgot the 1 in the tens column!
You also got questions 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17 and 18 correct! Question 18 should be 113.15 (you've put the decimal place in the wrong column.
I think that this is a tremendous effort and you should be really proud of yourself.
In future, you can use a calculator to check your answers when you finish if you like, and then you can try to do any that are incorrect again.

Agreed... your commitment is commendable and practice makes perfect. Helpful hint: when you add and subtract using decimals, the decimal point stays in the same column; it moves about when you multiply and divide.
